WHAT I GOT MY KIDS FOR CHRISTMAS 2022! Minimalist Method for a Budget-Friendly Low-Clutter Holiday
Hey, friends! Today I’m sharing with you what I got my three kids for Christmas this year. I’ve got my own little method for picking out fun gifts for them that helps me keep it intentional and more on the minimal side! In this video, I’m not only sharing with you holiday gifts that go under the tree but also a few things for stocking stuffers as well as what we put into our “December Box.”

We wrap all the gifts for one person in the same wrapping paper. A small piece of the paper is put into their stocking, that’s how they know what presents are theirs.
No names on packages under the tree = no shaking packages to try and figure out what’s inside. Plus it’s a fun little surprise element.
We always lived by the rule of if we see a gift before Christmas, it goes back to the store. Eliminates snooping. 😂
My daughter Haley (an adult) still loves Lego and I think it actually inspired her to go to school for architecture. We also had the Eye Spy books when she was little spent many hours sitting with her on our laps or next to us looking through those books. The books are something that I have saved for when we have grandkids.
I watch your each and every videos that to be very manageable and interesting. Could you tell me where are you from in fact I was scrolling your video randomly and suddenly I clicked then till now i watched your video i am from India please tell me what's are from please reply me
Does Father Christmas not come to your home on the 25th xx
If my kids are 30 and want gifts they better show up in the Christmas pjs I provide lol!!!!
Congrats on having your shopping done! It looks like your kiddos will have a great Christmas. My son, 19, bought himself a new laptop with money he earned from his first job. We bought speakers for his laptop. He loves flannel pj pants so that’s been an annual give. We got him a new iPhone a month ago with the agreement that was part of his Christmas present. As they get older, it’s all easier. As for hiding, although could be risky, I’ve kept in trunk of car, at work, at parents, etc Good luck and Happy Holidays
It always really touches my heart that you are so responsive to what your kids like with your gift giving. That may be obvious to many, but I think for others we may not have always received gifts that felt picked out with us truly in mind. ❤️
I loved this video and your approach to gifting children at Christmas.
I keep the gifts in the shipping boxes and add items from the store. All they see is brown boxes in the closet. They don't know who or what. Got my boys kenex, one video game and one board game each and sand art lights for their rooms so far. For my daughter I'm expanding on things she already has. A carrier for her baby doll, new markers and a caboodle (yay 90s kids!).
i am in a big family with 10 kids and we have been doing christmas pjs as one of our family’s traditions since my oldest sister was born!
Omg. Yessss. Sad beige toys is exactly how I feel about them. I don't want them in my house. They make me feel sad.
Do your children know there is no Santa? Or did I miss you mentioning him in this video explaining your views on him. Just wondering, thank you. Arlene
😊 so cute for Haley her first sewing box 🙂 🤍
I'd be curious about how Santa works in your home. Are all of the gifts under the tree and in the stocking from Santa or from Mum and Dad?
I put Christmas gifts in suitcases. If your kids are particularly snoopy, you could use a lock or a suitcase with a code lock on it.
Perfect video! I’d love to see more of how you curate the kids toys ❤ happy holidays!
Great video 🎄🎄🎄
What is your inspiration for the monthly boxes?
I like to wrap the gifts and put them under the tree. We have Christmas bags from Amazon that a family member gifted a few years ago, we love them under the tree. Hidden gifts (santa) usually fit in the Christmas decor tubs in the basement.
Your content it always so helpful!! I love this! I have been struggling this year with just how to organize the gifting for the kids! Thanks so much Natalie ♥
I have a padlock on my attic door and that's where I store my kids Christmas gifts(we only keep a lock on it during Christmas)😆
My kids are 11-21 and should no better but just incase I don't want Christmas spoiled.
I love this Natalie. We also bought our kids some thrifted toys that goes to their want category. I am not a minimal for sure but I am working on being essentialist especially when were about to downsize. I feel more at peace and calm when there is less stuff in our house. Happy Holidays. ❤️
I finally find perfekt box to become desember box ❤️ last year i fell in love the idea and sens then i have been looking for perfekt wooden box and now i have it ❤️❤️❤️ little paint and then i can fill in something christmasy 😊
I SPY! Omg, I loved those books.
Oh my an American girl purist?!! They scare me so much 🥺. Is it better than our generation from Target?
Oh my gosh! I finally got an I Spy book for my eldest daughter. I recently purchased it at Barnes and Noble and it was a Christmas edition 🎄
The best hiding gifts tip I came across was, if you have an artificial tree, put the gifts inside the empty tree bag or box.
I’m sorry— I haven’t even started shopping yet. 💀💀💀 here you are all put together!! 🎉🎉🎉- your jingle really hits 💃
Love this! I have a couple questions:
1. How (if at all!) does "Santa" play a role in the gifts – aka, which do you decide will come from Santa vs. parents?
2. Does Weston have his own gifts for the kids or are these all joint efforts?
3. Does your jingle apply to birthday gift giving as well or do you have other parameters for those occasions?
Thank you for brightening our feed and Happy Holidays!!! 🙂
Love the gifts, I’m doing a 4 gift rule this year too, although it’s turned more into a 7 gift rule lol 😂. Sibling gift and Santa gift got added lol. I do a wear, need, want, do and bonus gift:)
We do something similar for our kiddos too…Something they WANT, something they NEED, something to WATCH OR DO, something to READ
Hide gifts in suitcases! It's wonderful! When my husband takes the kids out to shop for Mom, I just roll them out of the closet and into my wrapping area. If I don't want to put them under the tree yet, they get loaded back up all wrapped and rolled back to the closet. Use a luggage lock if your kids are extra nosy.
I love when kids try to snoop and find their gifts early🤣 my sister hides hers in the tote she stores the tree in lol
This is only my second Christmas season following you but I SO look forward to this video! This is my first Christmas with a little one but I look forward to finding out her interests as she grows!! 💕
I use to hide my daughter’s Christmas gifts in my suitcase and lock it lol
Great video, 📹, beautiful tree, all nice, nice gifts. 🎄 🎅
